Portable Application is an application that can be run directly without having to be installed on a PC that will be in use. Portable applications are very useful when we want to use the software on another computer without having to install it first.

There are some free software that is sophisticated enough to help us create portable applications. Among them:

2. Portable Application Creator
3. Thinstall

To create a portable program, We can also create it manually or without using the software. We just need Winrar alone. The steps are as follows:

1. Specify files to be created portable program, including its supporting files on a folder.

2. Open notepad, type the name of the program files (*. exe) that will be made portable, save with the name "launch.bat" (without the quotes), save into a folder that will be made portable.

3. Select all the files the program by pressing (ctrl + a) plus the file "launch.bat We just created. Right click, select add to archive.

4. Activate the option Create Sfx Archive

5. Select the comment,
enter the following command:

Setup = launch.bat
TempMode
Silent = 1
Overwrite = 1

6. click ok, finish ....
